PRE-cOMPLETION INSPECTION
A Pre-Completion Inspection is conducted before you complete on your new property. We check against NHQB standards and identify issues so your developer can resolve them before you move into your new home.
POST-cOMPLETION INSPECTION
A Post-Completion inspection is conducted after you move into your new home, and not only includes issues against NHQB standards, but also the NHBC/ Premier/LABC (or other), and building regulations. This is our most popular survey.

A snagging inspection can take place either before moving into your new home/prior to completion (pre completion inspection) or after the property’s official completion/moved in (post completion inspection), usually within the first week of completion.
Ideally a post completion inspection (within the first couple of weeks), is preferable as it allows for a much more in depth inspection, and current building regulations/NHBC guidelines can be referred to.
Although it is preferable for a snagging inspection to take place within the first couple of weeks after completion, your inspection can be completed up to 2 years after moving in. If you haven’t had your snagging inspection, it is still recommended to do so before your developer warranty ends.

The timeline for fixing less serious snags varies depending on the nature of the issue. For certain snags, like damaged floor tiles or scratched windowpanes, there might be a lead time as the developer orders replacements, which could take weeks. In contrast, cosmetic finish issues can often be addressed promptly, even on the following day.
The speed of snag resolution may also depend on the responsiveness of the developers. Some property developers have dedicated staff outside of their construction teams to handle snag fixing efficiently.
